Watchdog: O'Donnell 'Clearly a Criminal'

Sometimes too good to be true is just that - a bunch of lies and distortions piled on top of errors and omissions.  If ever the axiom seems to apply, it sure does seem to apply to lots of Tea Party candidates.

One of my favorite witches, Christine O’Donnell, just can't seem to stay out of the news.  I guess she firmly believes that all press is good press.

Nonpartisan watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington says that Christine O’Donnell “is clearly a criminal, and like any crook she should be prosecuted."

Damn those are some strong words.  And what did the non-masturbating, puritanical, single-girl do?  According to two complaints, it is alleged the Republican Senate candidate misused $20,000 in campaign funds. “Ms. O'Donnell has spent years embezzling money from her campaign to cover her personal expenses,” the group says.

Girl has to got to eat right?

CREW is seeking a Federal Election Commission audit of O’Donnell’s campaign expenditures, and wants the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office to begin a criminal investigation. The group’s claims are based on an affidavit from an ex-O’Donnell aide, David Keegan, saying O’Donnell used campaign money to pay her rent for two months in 2009 as well as buy food and gas.

For her part, O’Donnell reported that her income between March 2009 and June 2010 was only $5,800. She has not directly addressed reports of her many financial problems, aside from saying that she fell on “hard times.”

She needs to teach financial management classes if she can live on $5,800 a year and run for Senate.

CREW's Sloan said on CNN in advance of the release of the complaint that it's decision to target O'Donnell was not grounded in partisan politics, noting that her organization had called for Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel to resign over ethics violations. (She also discussed the complaint on CBS News, at left.)

"We're about right and wrong and not about black or white, Republican or Democrat," she said. "And it is flat-out wrong for a candidate for the U.S. Senate to be stealing her campaign funds and be using them for personal use."

Maybe Christine can brew up a good spell in her cauldron and make all of this go away.

  1. Just another republican, christian, delusional lunatic. These traits sure do seem to run hand and hand. Jesus freaks.

  2. If she gets elected in spite of all this, then Sarah Palin will be the Republican candidate for President.
