The Nevada Republican earlier discussed her beliefs on the topic during an interview with the Bill Manders in which she called pregnancy in cases of rape and incest, "God's plan."
If your "God's" plan is for rape and incest, I want no part of it. Who would want to worship a "god" that plans violence, rape and torture?
But no worry, Sharron says "lemons can be made into lemonade." So if you get raped at 14, don't worry.
Here are her own words from the conservative Alan Stock Show:
Stock: Let me bring up one other topic that I rarely talk about here, because it's one of those topics that's a lose-lose, but we've got to talk about it because it was brought up in your TV interview and that has to do with the issue of abortion, and whether or not abortion should be available in the case of rape or incest. The question to you at the time by the interviewer was that do you want the government to go and tell a 13 year-old child who has been raped by her father that she has to have that baby. And of course you responded 'I didn't say that I always say that I value life.' Where do you stand on the issue of abortion, a consensual abortion, from a person who is raped or is pregnant as a result of incest?
Angle: Well right now our law permits that. My own personal feelings and that is always what I express, my personal feeling is that we need to err on the side of life. There is a plan and a purpose, a value to every life no matter what it's location, age, gender or disability. So whenever we talk about government and government's role, government's role is to protect life and that's what our Founding Father said, that we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Stock: What do you say then to a young girl, I am going to place it as he said it, when a young girl is raped by her father, let's say, and she is pregnant. How do you explain this to her in terms of wanting her to go through the process of having the baby?
Angle: I think that two wrongs don't make a right. And I have been in the situation of counseling young girls, not 13 but 15, who have had very at risk, difficult pregnancies. And my counsel was to look for some alternatives, which they did. And they found that they had made what was really a lemon situation into lemonade. Well one girl in particular moved in with the adoptive parents of her child, and they both were adopted. Both of them grew up, one graduated from high school, the other had parents that loved her and she also graduated from high school. And I'll tell you the little girl who was born from that very poor situation came to me when she was 13 and said 'I know what you did thank you for saving my life.' So it is meaningful to me to err on the side of life. She makes me sick.
This woman is clearly mentally ill. She is living a delusional life. People living the "god" delusion are so deeply delusional that they'd rather believe their " god" would be a cruel monster with a plan that includes such things as rape of children. Get a clue you stupid woman, the easter bunny doesn't really lay eggs either.
ReplyDeleteHey Ms. Angle- If it is god's plan that the 14 year old girl must be the "holy" person and have the rapest's baby, is it also God's plan that people rape and kill? If it is God's plan that people choose to rape and kill, would it not also be god's plan that people choose to do what might be appropriate for the 14 year old girl post rape?
ReplyDeleteIs it god's plan that all these priests are raping children and destroying their lives? Would it be god's plan for the victims to kill and torture the adult priests who raped children? If it is god's plan to make the lemonade out of of a rape situation, wouldn't allowing two lesbians born within god's plan who want to love each other and marry, a good form of making lemonade too?
ReplyDeleteIt's not God's plan because there is no god. But we shouldn't criticize a woman who decides to continue a pregnancy caused by rape. Certainly the fetus who survives to become a child and an adult won't criticize that decision. Angle is wrong in having the government make the decision.
ReplyDeleteCarol I agree there is nothing wrong with someone continuing a pregnancy after rape. But it worries me that she might be a US Senator who decides that should be law. And it also worries me that someone who might be a US Senator would be so callous as to think we should all just suffer as it is God's plan.
ReplyDeleteI don't read anyone criticizing a girl's choice to keep her baby after a rape or unexpected pregnancy. I agree that is a beautiful decision. I think what everyone here argues is that it was god's plan. It so sick of Angle to say this. I agree there is no god Ms. Walsh. The scary part is so many people believe in religion in a literal way and base decisions on these myths.

Burn in hell you godless spawns of the devil! I love Jesus Christ. He is my savior. He will let you burn in hell for this evil.
