How Big Is The Oil Spill - See What It Would Be Like Near you!

The BP oil spill is spread across an estimated 2,500 square miles, and is dumping at least 200,000 gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico every day. What would that look like in your area?

To give you an idea of the destruction caused in the Gulf, Google Maps engineer Paul Rademacher has created an image of the spill that you can drag over any city. http://paulrademacher.com/oilspill/
It's pretty depressing. Meanwhile, poor BP has lost $350 million to the spill already. Here it is over Washington, DC and New York.
